but the earth is Your shelter, too.
Lime trees bloom in the forests,
and birds sing in the trees.

Like Your cathedral bells, spring
moves across the fields, gay,
and flying on a dream’s wings
angels come to us, in spring.

If I speak the truth, Lord,
if I sing Your song,
let me have a sign; Lord, give me
a sign that I’ve known Your will.

Come, an Invisible Light,
to her who, now, sits sad,
and answer dazzling answers
to everything she asks.

You know, better than birds’ singing,
better for the soul than Heaven’s trumpets,
is the faint trembling of beloved eyes
And a smile on beloved lips.

Появись, как Незримый Свет,
