Tālu – uz planētas Venēras...

На далекой звезде Венере…

Tālu – uz planētas Venēras
Saule zeltaināk spīd, vēl labāk,
Uz Venēras, ai, uz Venēras
Kokiem ir zilganas lapas.

Apkārt ūdens skanīgi lejas,
Ūdenskritumi, geizeri, tērces
Dienā dzied brīvības dzejas,
Naktī deg kā svētbilžu sveces.

Uz Venēras, ai, uz Venēras
Nav dzēlīgu vārdu un melu,
Runā eņģeļi uz Venēras
Tikai patskaņu mēlē.

Ja pateiks „aē” vai „aī” –
Tas būs sauciens nākt līdzi,
„Uo”, „ao” – viņi atceras arī
Par senseno paradīzi.

Uz Venēras, ai, uz Venēras
Nav nāves rūgtas un smacējošas,
Ja nomirst uz Venēras –
Gaisā kā garaiņi pošas.

Kā dūmi zeltaini, liegi
Klaiņo vakaros zilos un dīvos
Vai kā priecīgi svētceļnieki
Apciemo vēl dzīvos.
